The Defining Decade
by Meg Jay
An insightful read on practical advice for twenty-somethings. The author emphasizes that our twenties are a developmental sweet spot - a time to build identity capital, lay the foundation for our careers, maintain relationships, and plan ahead.
Most importantly, the book underscores the consequences of delaying these crucial life-building steps.

The More or Less Definitive Guide to Self-Care
by Anna Borges
Self-help book with relatable anecdotes, making it a great resource for anyone looking to improve their ✨ self-care ✨ routine.

The Strangest Secret
by Earl Nightingale
Basically law of attraction in a nutshell. Having CLEAR and REALISTIC goals and taking CONSISTENT action towards them is the key to success.

Before the Coffee Gets Cold
by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Find a seat, order a cup of coffee, and travel back in time. This heartwarming yet bittersweet story follows several cafe patrons as they journey into the past to reunite with loved ones, relive cherished memories, or seek closure they never had.
But, I felt there was too much repetition of the same points throughout the book. For example, the rules about not letting the coffee get cold or not leaving the seat were mentioned multiple times across different chapters.

I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki
by Baek Sehee

Sweet Bean Paste
by Durian Sukegawa
A very wholesome and heartwarming story between the characters. I liked how the author went into the specifics of making dorayaki, down to the smallest details. It made me crave dorayaki so much that I ended up buying some from FamilyMart.
I wish the author explore more of the characters' backstories and motivations, as I feel like they were a bit underdeveloped.
Like what did Sentaro do to end up in prison? I think the author purposely left it vague.

The Rape of Nanking: The Forgotten Holocaust Of World War II
by Iris Chang
Truly indescribable, inexpressible horror. It’s astonishing that there are still revisionists who deny that it ever happened.
Frankly, I find it truly insulting to the victims.
May they rest in peace.
